Indonesia will officially implement its mandatory B50 biodiesel programme nationwide from 1 July 2026, increasing the biodiesel content in diesel fuel from 40% to 50%. The government says the move is a key milestone in its strategy to strengthen energy security, reduce dependence on imported petroleum diesel, and improve national energy self-sufficiency.
