Savita Oil Technologies Ltd., a Mumbai-based manufacturer of lubricants and specialty oils, has recorded its strongest-ever quarterly performance, supported by substantial growth in revenue, profitability and sales volumes during the April–June quarter. According to the company’s unaudited consolidated financial results, revenue from operations increased 49.6% year-on-year to INR 14.80 billion (USD 153 million).

Profit before tax surged 434.7% to INR 3.87 billion (USD 40 million), compared with approximately INR 720 million (USD 7.5 million) in the corresponding period last year. Net profit after tax climbed 414.5% to INR 2.88 billion (USD 30 million), while earnings per share increased to INR 42.01 (USD 0.44), up from INR 8.16 (USD 0.08).

The petroleum products division, which encompasses the company’s lubricants operations, remained the principal contributor to financial performance. The segment generated INR 14.82 billion (USD 154 million) in revenue and INR 3.73 billion (USD 39 million) in profit before finance costs and tax, compared with INR 600 million (USD 6.2 million) in segment profit a year earlier. The wind power business contributed INR 97 million (USD 1 million) in revenue.

In its September investor presentation, Savita highlighted the quarter as a milestone, reporting its highest-ever quarterly sales volumes and revenue. Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 370.6% to INR 3.97 billion (USD 41 million), while the EBITDA margin expanded significantly from 8.3% to 26.2%.

Chairman and managing director Gautam N. Mehra said the lubricants and export businesses achieved double-digit growth in volumes. He expressed confidence in continued export demand and noted that the company’s recently introduced ester-based fluid portfolio was gaining market acceptance, securing several important approvals from original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Savita is also working on product development for emerging applications, including data centres, energy storage systems and electric vehicles.

The company attributed the quarter’s performance partly to rising crude oil and refined product prices, which increased both input costs and selling prices. Tightening supply conditions also contributed to inventory gains. However, geopolitical tensions in the Middle East affected feedstock availability and port operations, weighing on sales volumes in April before conditions began to improve. Savita remains positive about its outlook while acknowledging continued uncertainty and daily fluctuations in feedstock supply.

In a separate development, HR Today reported that Savita has appointed Pramod Vasudevan as president of its lubricants division. Vasudevan previously served as vice president of aftermarket sales at TotalEnergies.

The company has also announced changes to its senior leadership. Siddharth G. Mehra, currently a whole-time director, will assume the position of joint managing director for a five-year term from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2031. He joined Savita during the 2014–15 financial year as head of business development and became a board member in July 2017. His experience includes leadership responsibilities across international business, white oils and transformer oils. He is the son of Gautam N. Mehra.

Additionally, Ajay Reche has been appointed an additional director in the whole-time director category, effective June 1, 2026, with his term scheduled to conclude on September 30, 2030. Reche has led the company’s human resources function since August 2019 and brings more than 29 years of experience in personnel management, industrial relations and human resource development.
