Binh Phuoc Province, Vietnam, March 27, 2025 — TotalEnergies Marketing Vietnam has entered into a strategic partnership with Cao Gia Quy Environment Company to manage the collection and recycling of used engine oil across Vietnam.
Under this agreement, Cao Gia Quy will handle the collection of waste oil from TotalEnergies’ Quartz Auto Services and Hi-Perf Moto Services workshops, as well as from its business customers. As a national leader in waste oil recycling since 2014, Cao Gia Quy operates a network with an annual capacity exceeding 23,000 tons, converting used oil into re-refined base oils.
This initiative helps TotalEnergies Vietnam meet the requirements of Vietnam’s new Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) regulations. These rules mandate that lubricant producers and importers must either recycle at least 15% of the volume they place on the market or contribute financially to the Vietnam Environment Protection Fund.
Mehmet CELEPOGLU, Vice President for Oceania & South-East Asia at TotalEnergies Marketing Asia Pacific Middle East, expressed pride in the collaboration: “TotalEnergies is proud to be the first lubricants company to partner with Vietnam’s largest waste oil recycler under the new EPR framework. We're also exploring additional joint efforts aligned with our commitment to achieve net zero emissions by 2050.”
This partnership advances the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by promoting circular economy practices such as recycling and reducing waste, and SDG 13 (Climate Action) by supporting responsible oil collection and raising awareness of environmental protection among customers and users.
