TotalEnergies Lubrifiants has expanded its product range by acquiring fire-resistant hydraulic fluid lines from Germany's Fluid Competence. This move enhances TotalEnergies' dedication to sustainability and safety by incorporating mineral oil-free, low VOC-emission fluids tailored for high-risk industrial sectors.
The acquisition includes Corsave, a water-based hydrous fire-resistant fluid, and Lubesave, a water-glycol-based fluid, both classified under ISO 12922 as HFA and HFC-E fluids. These high-quality solutions are designed for industries demanding exceptional fire resistance, such as steel, mining, and tunneling.
Rainer Keiemburg, Vice President for Industrial Lubricants at TotalEnergies Lubrifiants, stated, "Integrating Fluid Competence's HFC-E and HFA businesses is an exciting step in our strategy to expand our specialty fluids range and offer customers safer and sustainable solutions. These fluids are already available and are expected to be popular among customers requiring ultimate safety and reliability when operating hydraulic systems at high temperatures and pressures in challenging environments."
The primary advantage of these fluids is their exceptional fire resistance, ensuring both worker safety and uninterrupted operations. They also provide anti-wear protection and corrosion resistance, enhancing equipment longevity and reducing maintenance expenses.
Dieter Mantwill, CEO of Fluid Competence, commented, "Collaborating with TotalEnergies Lubrifiants allows us to expand our global customer reach while continuing to innovate and certify high-performance lubricants."
This acquisition aligns with TotalEnergies' broader sustainability strategy, focusing on safer, eco-friendly alternatives that enhance industrial safety and efficiency.
