AMSOIL Inc. has entered into a strategic distribution agreement with Repsol Lubricants under which Repsol will market and distribute AMSOIL Wind products, including the proprietary AMSOIL Synthetic Power Transmission Gear Oil (PTN) range, across Europe and South America.

AMSOIL Inc. has entered into a strategic distribution agreement with Repsol Lubricants under which Repsol will market and distribute AMSOIL Wind products, including the proprietary AMSOIL Synthetic Power Transmission Gear Oil (PTN) range, across Europe and South America.

The partnership expands the international availability of AMSOIL Wind products while combining AMSOIL’s advanced lubricant technology with Repsol’s extensive presence in the global energy sector.

AMSOIL Wind products are specifically engineered for wind turbine applications, helping operators improve equipment reliability, extend component lifespan, and reduce maintenance costs. Central to the agreement is the AMSOIL Synthetic Power Transmission Gear Oil (PTN), a high-performance synthetic lubricant designed to protect heavily loaded wind turbine gearboxes against micropitting, wear, oxidation, and sludge formation.

Paul Swenson said the collaboration with Repsol Lubricants represents a significant milestone in AMSOIL’s global expansion strategy within the wind energy sector. He noted that Repsol’s strong presence in key wind energy markets would enable more operators to benefit from the proven performance of AMSOIL Wind products.

Under the agreement, Repsol Lubricants will offer the AMSOIL Wind product portfolio to customers across multiple countries in Europe and South America where it maintains direct sales and service operations. Both companies will also collaborate to provide technical expertise, field support, and product solutions to wind farm owners, operators, and maintenance providers.

Clara Velasco stated that the addition of AMSOIL Wind products strengthens Repsol’s lubricant portfolio by offering customers premium solutions specifically developed for the demanding operating conditions of modern wind turbines. She added that the AMSOIL Synthetic Power Transmission Gear Oil (PTN) family delivers exceptional performance while supporting customers in improving reliability and reducing operational costs.

According to AMSOIL, the PTN product family is widely used in wind turbine gearboxes operating under harsh environmental conditions and extreme temperatures, and carries approvals from major gearbox and turbine manufacturers serving the global market.

The agreement takes immediate effect, with product availability beginning in select Repsol markets during the second quarter of 2026 before expanding further throughout the year.
