German specialty chemicals company LANXESS has inaugurated its India Application Development Centre (IADC) in Thane, Mumbai, to bolster innovation and customer support in the Indian market.
German specialty chemicals company LANXESS has inaugurated its India Application Development Centre (IADC) in Thane, Mumbai, to bolster innovation and customer support in the Indian market.
At the inauguration, Matthias Zachert, Chairman of the Board of Management of LANXESS AG, emphasized India's significance as a growth region, highlighting the company's commitment to providing tailored solutions for local customers and fostering innovation-driven growth.
The IADC combines expertise from two primary business units: Lubricant Additives, which offers high-performance additives, synthetic base fluids, and ready-to-use lubricants; and Material Protection Products, specializing in antimicrobial, disinfection, and preservation solutions. This integration enables advanced research in lubricant friction and wear, material testing, and assessments of antimicrobial efficacy for paints, emulsions, and other water-based chemistries.
Namitesh Roy Choudhury, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of LANXESS India, noted that the establishment of the IADC brings the company's expertise closer to Indian customers, enhancing innovation and the ability to swiftly address evolving market trends.
This initiative aligns with LANXESS's strategic focus on sustainable mobility and consumer protection, leveraging India's expanding industrial base and consumer markets. With production facilities in Jhagadia, Gujarat, and Nagda, Madhya Pradesh, and a workforce of approximately 800 employees, LANXESS continues to strengthen its presence in India.
