IPAC opens Singapore additives plant on Jurong Island

The facility is on Jurong Island, Singapore’s energy and chemical manufacturing hub. IPAC said it represents a significant investment in the company’s Asia-Pacific business and positions it closer to customers throughout the region.   

The Singapore operation has been part of IPAC’s long-term plan for several years. Since establishing its European manufacturing presence in 2015, the company’s goal has been to build a global supply designed to serve customers regionally rather than rely on production from a single location. Singapore was selected for its strategic location, chemical industry infrastructure, access to raw materials and logistics advantages.   

The plant supports a range of manufacturing activities, including component synthesis and additive package blending. As the operation develops, IPAC is evaluating future growth opportunities, including additional tankage and production capacity.   

For customers throughout Asia-Pacific, including Australia, India and the Middle East, the company said manufacturing closer to customers reduces lead times, improves supply reliability and increases responsiveness to local market needs, while regional production improves economics and access to raw materials. Customers will also have local sales, customer service and technical support resources based in Singapore.
