Motul and FM Logistic have inaugurated a new 45,000-square-metre logistics platform in Nangis, located in France’s Seine-et-Marne region, dedicated to supporting Motul’s global lubricant distribution operations. The facility will serve as a central hub for both domestic and international shipments, enabling the company to streamline exports to more than 160 countries worldwide. The site has also been awarded France’s High Environmental Quality (HQE) certification, reflecting its focus on sustainability and operational efficiency.

The two companies, which have partnered since 2018, brought the facility online through a phased commissioning process between November 2025 and July 2026. The new platform consolidates logistics activities that were previously spread across multiple locations, creating a more integrated and efficient supply chain network.

The Nangis hub features storage capacity for 70,000 pallets, 40 loading docks, and the capability to process up to 6,000 parcels per day. The site is classified as a lower-tier Seveso facility and holds several internationally recognized certifications, including Authorized Economic Operator (AEO), ISO 9001, and ISO 45001.

Commenting on the development, Xavier Baraton, Supply Chain Director at Motul, described the project as a significant milestone in the evolution of the company’s global supply chain. He noted that the new hub enhances capacity, reliability, and flexibility, strengthening Motul’s ability to support future international growth. Jean-Christophe Machet, Chief Executive Officer of FM Logistic Group, said the facility demonstrates the company’s commitment to developing scalable and resilient logistics solutions in collaboration with long-term strategic partners.

Located approximately 60 kilometres from Motul’s manufacturing plant in Vaires-sur-Marne, the facility is designed to manage a wide range of products, including automotive and industrial lubricants, technical fluids, additives, and thermal management fluids. Sustainability features include a 450-kilowatt-peak photovoltaic installation, rainwater harvesting systems, and energy-efficient LED lighting throughout the site. In addition, FM Logistic has enhanced the surrounding environment by planting nearly 2,900 native trees and shrubs. Rani Ladjissi, Director of the FM Logistic Nangis platform, said the facility was designed to balance operational excellence with workplace safety and employee well-being.

Founded in 1967, FM Logistic reported revenue of EUR 1.9 billion (USD 2.19 billion) and employs more than 28,000 people across Europe, Asia, and Latin America. The Nangis operation currently employs close to 100 people, with plans to add a further 15 permanent positions by the end of 2026.
