TVS Motor Company has established a global Centre of Excellence (CoE) for design and engineering in Bologna, Italy, reinforcing its commitment to delivering premium mobility solutions in international markets. As part of this initiative, the company has also agreed to fully acquire Engines Engineering S.p.A., an Italian automotive design and engineering firm renowned for advanced prototyping, high-performance motorcycle innovation, and MotoGP racing expertise.

As part of this initiative, the company has also agreed to fully acquire Engines Engineering S.p.A., an Italian automotive design and engineering firm renowned for advanced prototyping, high-performance motorcycle innovation, and MotoGP racing expertise.
The new CoE will integrate Engines Engineering’s specialized knowledge with TVS Motor’s existing global research and development capabilities. The company expects this collaboration to accelerate time-to-market, strengthen product differentiation, and bolster technological leadership, leveraging diverse engineering teams and global talent networks.
The centre will also support Norton Motorcycles, TVS Motor’s British subsidiary, in developing modern luxury motorcycles with enhanced performance and design innovation.
Sudarshan Venu, Chairman of TVS Motor Company, described the centre as a milestone in expanding capabilities and advancing the company’s mobility vision. He highlighted that combining Engines Engineering’s racing expertise with TVS Motor’s engineering strengths will help deliver premium, connected, and electric vehicles.
Key focus areas for the CoE include:
Design leadership and engineering excellence through digital simulation and rapid prototyping
Future mobility technologies, including AI-driven design tools
Global talent collaboration with universities and technology partners
TVS Motor expects this initiative to shorten product development cycles, enhance design flexibility, and broaden its premium portfolio, encompassing high-displacement motorcycles, advanced scooters, and electric mobility platforms.
