The partnership focuses on three main initiatives:
Enhancing Charging Solutions: Exploring opportunities for DAF customers to effectively utilize TotalEnergies' charging network and roaming services.
Developing Megawatt Charging Systems (MCS): Accelerating the creation of ultra-fast charging infrastructure for electric trucks through pilot projects.
Reducing Emissions at DAF Facilities: Implementing low-carbon energy solutions at DAF's production sites to decrease Scope 1 and 2 CO₂ emissions.
Harald Seidel, President of DAF Trucks N.V., highlighted that this collaboration enhances the company's ability to offer sustainable and innovative transport solutions, noting that DAF's battery electric vehicles can achieve zero-emission ranges of up to 500 kilometers on a single charge.
Mathieu Soulas, Senior Vice President of New Mobilities at TotalEnergies, emphasized the importance of such partnerships in providing practical solutions to reduce the carbon footprint of customer fleets, stating that pragmatic collaborations are essential for advancing the energy transition.
