Castrol, a global leader in lubricants and automotive products, has announced two key partnerships to broaden its product range and enter new markets. The company has collaborated with Denckermann, a Polish distributor of automotive filters and parts, to launch a line of high-performance vehicle filters. This range, including oil, air, cabin, and fuel filters, will be branded under Castrol and is expected to be available in the European market by late 2024.
In addition to the Denckermann partnership, Castrol has entered into a strategic alliance with Mutlu Aku, one of Turkey’s largest battery manufacturers. This marks Castrol’s first foray into the automotive battery market, offering a premium line of batteries for both conventional and hybrid vehicles. The collaboration is part of Castrol’s ongoing efforts to diversify its offerings and address the growing demand for energy-efficient automotive solutions.
Marta Lozano Barrero, Castrol’s Head of Masterbrand and Communications, emphasized, “This partnership aims to meet the evolving needs of our customers. Expanding our portfolio to include Castrol automotive batteries aligns with our strategy to offer a broader range of aftermarket products. Our goal is to provide consumers with premium, competitively priced products designed to keep their vehicles performing at their best.”
The Castrol automotive batteries are expected to be available in Europe by the end of 2024. The partnership with Mutlu Aku was facilitated by Castrol’s global brand licensing agency, LMCA.
