French lubrication specialist Lubrilog has introduced the Plastogrease Range, a new series of high-performance, PFAS-free lubricants designed specifically for automotive actuators. This launch responds to increasing environmental concerns and global initiatives to phase out per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) from industrial use.
Completely free of PFAS, including polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), the Plastogrease Range delivers the performance and durability required for today’s braking and steering systems. Lubrilog highlights that these lubricants offer low torque operation and superior anti-wear protection, particularly for plastic-to-metal interfaces, ensuring long-lasting performance under demanding automotive conditions.
A key advantage of the new product line is its strong sustainability profile. With no hazardous symbols required on their Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), these lubricants present a safer, environmentally responsible choice for vehicle manufacturers, actuator designers, and maintenance teams. The range is also designed to help automotive systems comply with future regulatory restrictions on PFAS.
Lubrilog emphasizes that the Plastogrease Range reflects its broader commitment to sustainable innovation and leadership in regulatory-compliant lubrication technologies for critical automotive components.
Since its acquisition by TotalEnergies in 2020, Lubrilog has strengthened its capabilities in developing advanced lubrication solutions—an evolution that has contributed directly to the creation of the Plastogrease Range.
